The Person Behind
Mommy Cooking

Mommy Cooking is an independent recipe publication. It is owned and run by its founding editor, with one job: recipes that work in real kitchens at 6pm — clear steps, honest timing, and food-safety temperatures you can trust.

Founding editor and owner

Sok Heng is a home cook, not a trained chef, and this site does not pretend otherwise. Mommy Cooking exists because the useful part of a recipe — the exact amount, the real timing, the warning about the step that goes wrong — is usually buried under a story nobody came for.

He sets the editorial standards below, reads and approves every recipe before it publishes, and is the person to write to when something here is wrong. He has cooked a number of these recipes himself. Where a page says he cooked it, he cooked it; where it says only that he reviewed and approved it, that is the honest limit of the claim.

How our recipes are made

Every recipe starts as an AI-assisted draft built on established, classic cooking techniques. A human editor then reviews it before publication. Nothing is published without that review.

What the review covers

What we will not do

Photography

The food photography on this site is AI-generated and styled to match the finished dish as described in the recipe. It illustrates the result; it is not a photograph of a specific cooking session.

Nutrition estimates

Nutritional figures are automated calculations from standard ingredient values. Treat them as rough guidance, not medical information. Brands, cuts, and serving sizes all move the number.

Corrections

If something here is wrong — a quantity, a temperature, a timing, a broken link — please say so through the contact page. Corrections are reviewed promptly and the page is updated with a new modified date.
