Hidden Corners

Editorial Policy

Accuracy and verification

Facts are checked against reliable sources — official park services, tourism boards, heritage bodies, transport operators and primary local sources — before publication. Practical details that decay (opening times, prices, access conditions, schedules) carry a last verified date on every destination guide, and are re-checked on a rolling basis. Where we cannot verify a detail, we either omit it or say plainly that it requires local confirmation. We never guess.

No invented experiences

We do not publish invented visits, fabricated quotes, fake reviews, fake ratings or fictional personal anecdotes. First-person experience appears only when it actually happened to the named author. Aggregate claims (“many visitors find…”) are used only where they reflect documented, widespread reporting.

Use of AI

AI tools may assist with research organization and drafting. Human editorial review is required before anything is published: a person is accountable for every fact, framing and recommendation on this site. AI is never used to fabricate experiences, reviews or sources.

Sensitive locations

We intentionally generalize or withhold the locations of fragile, sacred, dangerous or privately owned places when precision could contribute to their damage. This is an editorial decision we make openly, and it overrides completeness.

Sponsored content and affiliates

Sponsored content is clearly labeled as such. Affiliate relationships, where they exist, are disclosed on the page and in our affiliate disclosure. Neither sponsors nor affiliates influence what we recommend or how we describe places.

Corrections

Errors are corrected transparently under our corrections policy, with material corrections noted on the affected page.
