Hidden Corners

Corrections Policy

Travel information decays, and we also simply make mistakes. This page describes what happens in both cases.

Reporting an error

Email corrections@hiddencorners.example with the page URL and the issue. Corrections reports are triaged ahead of all other correspondence.

How we correct

Minor errors (typos, formatting, broken links) are fixed silently. Material errors β€” anything affecting a reader’s safety, budget, route, legal position or understanding of a place β€” are fixed promptly and noted on the page with the date and nature of the correction. The page’s “updated” date always reflects the change.

Out-of-date information

When a guide’s practical details can no longer be confirmed, we either re-verify them or mark the section as requiring local confirmation. Every destination guide displays its last verified date so readers can judge freshness themselves.
